Glossary
An overactivity of the sebaceous glands, that causes an excessive accumulation of oily substance. Sebaceous glands are glands in the deeper skin layer (dermis) that open into hair follicles and secrete the oily substance called sebum. Symptoms include scaly skin and dandruff.
